Corporate Rescue – How to Save Your Business in These Hard Times

Do not despair, the UK has many experts who can assist in corporate rescue. Every town will have its Insolvency Practitioner. An expert can make sure that if you have a business that is insolvent, but which has an element to it that has value, that portion can be saved. How they do that will depend on what you are looking to achieve and what the financial position of the insolvent company is.

The IP will always look to save a business where that is possible. Nobody wants to see their lifes work closed without a fight. Unfortunately I have recently had to help close down a business that had been through grandfather, father and son for over eighty years. This was in no way a case of the younger generation squandering the fruits built by an older preceding dynasty. This business had gone from strength to strength under the youngest member, they had been brought down at last by a big blue chip company who folded. There was nothing that they could do about it, to the outside world they were just another statistic, but to that family it seemed like failure.

From it all however, there was something could be salvaged. The business was strong, it always had been, it just needed better luck. The management was sound, the employees second to none and the product first class.

A sale of the business was effected and the paperwork drawn up prior to the company going through its insolvency procedure, it was sold it back to the management, and now it carries on trading, making profits and employing people.

Everyday there are successful businesses like this that have to close because of circumstance and not because they have done anything wrong or out of the norm.

I suspect that that is you. You have found this page and think, “this is me”. Well if it is. Give an expert a call and start that re-building process.

The hardest thing that you ever do sometimes is make that first call.
